Best Summer Tomato and Basil Mayonnaise Sandwich

- 1 large fresh tomato (sliced)
- 2 slices white bread
- 1 cup real mayonnaise (for this recipe we used Kraft®)
- 10–15 fresh basil leaves (chopped)
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
Instructions
- Whisk together the mayonnaise, basil, salt, pepper, lemon juice, olive oil, and garlic.
- Spread the mayonnaise mixture on the top of 2 slices of bread
- Place the sliced tomato on the bread and add the other slice, mayonnaise side down.
- Enjoy!
