Best Summer Tomato and Basil Mayonnaise Sandwich

  • 1 large fresh tomato (sliced)
  • 2 slices white bread
  • 1 cup real mayonnaise (for this recipe we used Kraft®)
  • 1015 fresh basil leaves (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the mayonnaise, basil, salt, pepper, lemon juice, olive oil, and garlic. 
  2. Spread the mayonnaise mixture on the top of 2 slices of bread
  3. Place the sliced tomato on the bread and add the other slice, mayonnaise side down. 
  4. Enjoy!
