Holiday Traditions in the South! We decorate with pineapples and magnolias. We make homemade goodies such as fudge, cookies, and gingerbread houses. We decorate with trees, lights, mangers, and snowmen. We have fires going in our fireplaces. But we rarely have snow! One Southern tradition is a delicious sweet, creamy dessert similar to eggnog but slightly thicker. It can be sprinkled with nutmeg or have a shot of bourbon added to it. It can be poured over berries as a dessert. It can even have crushed peppermint candy sprinkled on top of it. But however you like it, it is definitely a special treat for the Holiday season! Add some gingersnaps with a cup of custard, curl up with a good book or a Christmas movie on the TV and relax and reflect on this past year and look forward to the upcoming year. This is a very easy and quick dessert you can keep in the fridge and enjoy all week!
